To get a better understanding of the history and evolution of UI design practices, I recreated a modern UI as if it existed on the early Macintosh computer. You can see below the window that I chose to replicate which include the Adobe Creative Cloud app, Discord, and Tumblr in the web browser.
In order to recreate this interface, I studied the limitations and standards of the MAC Classic interface. I created a pixel font and icons based on my research. The downside of this project is that since the resolution on the Macintosh was so low, modern screens have trouble displaying it as it should look. When creating the UI in Illustrator, I made sure that things were pixel-perfect.
